WE ARE PARTNERS IN AMBITION
Sourcing and creating partnerships with exceptional leaders is the foundation of Brightstar Equities. Frequently, these partnerships are started solely on the basis of a strong investment thesis, even before an initial platform acquisition is identified. In other instances, we partner with strong incumbent management teams to provide them capital to execute transformational opportunities, like acquiring a significant competitor.
Founded in 2008, Brightstar Equities is composed of five entities each concentrating on a separate but complementary dimension of investing. Members of the Brightstar’s team all have various expertise in a wide array of activities and topics ranging from operations, engineering and manufacturing to human resources, finance, banking and investment management. This helps us maintain a diverse, collaborative and fun work environment where we can thrive and foster innovation, passion and ambition.

Brightstar Equities invests and manages with the philosophy that real estate is a commodity subject to cycles, both in terms of its underlying supply and demand fundamentals and its pricing relative to other financial assets.
Fundamental to our investment philosophy is the combination of fund investments and equity co-investments. We believe augmenting fund investing with co-investing enhances our investment decisions and results.
OPERATIONS
We believe that efficient operations, delivered within an environment of control and transparency, are a critical part of the investment process. That is why we choose to manage these activities in-house – accounting, cash management, financial reporting, legal and regulatory compliance, portfolio analysis, and tax – in an effort to maintain the integrity and timeliness of our back-office operations.

Open and honest discussion is the hallmark for the culture we have fostered. We utilize our expertise to collaborate and challenge each other to arrive at the best solutions. We strongly believe that decisions made as a group are better than those made individually.
